Sports Tours International is a leading choice for runners looking to take part in some of the world’s most iconic endurance events. As an Official International Travel Partner for major global races, including the TCS London Marathon, we provide expertly curated travel packages, premium hospitality experiences, and access to unforgettable race-day moments.

Our story begins with our founder, Irish international marathon runner Vince Regan, who organized his first trips to overseas marathons in the early 1970s. At a time when international race travel was rare, Vince recognized the growing passion for running and the opportunity to connect athletes with events around the world. His vision helped pioneer the concept of international sports travel as we know it today.

Vince’s influence extended beyond travel. As a respected figure in the running community, he was involved in the early development of the London Marathon and went on to manage its international runner program—a responsibility Sports Tours International proudly continues to hold today.
Over the decades, that original vision has grown into a global community of runners and event partners. Each year, we support athletes from around the world in combining their passion for running with exceptional travel experiences.

In 2024, Sports Tours International LTD expanded its presence in the United States through the acquisition of a specialist marathon travel business based in North Carolina. This established a dedicated US operation and strengthened our ability to bring world-class international running experiences to American-based runners—starting with events like the TCS London Marathon.

Today, our US business is fully owned and operated by Sports Tours International. From our base in the Charlotte area, our team provides runners with expert guidance, trusted event partnerships, and seamless travel planning for some of the world’s most sought-after running events and races.
