Generali Berlin Half Marathon 2027

The Berlin Half Marathon course is fast, characterized by flat, wide roads with several long straight sections. The mix of live music, artists, and attractions is drawing more and more spectators to the course. And the Berlin streets are fast!

That is not only demonstrated by the top runners with numerous times under the magic one-hour limit, but also through the many personal bests in the ever-growing field of participants.

Getting to Berlin:
If you’re traveling to the Berlin Marathon, you’ll arrive at Berlin Brandenburg Airport (BER), located 28K from the city center. Opened in October 2020, BER replaced Tegel and Schönefeld Airports.
• Taxi: Taxi ranks are located directly outside Terminals 1 and 5. A taxi to central Berlin typically costs $55–$60 and takes around 30 minutes, depending on traffic.
• Train: The Airport Express (FEX) and regional trains run about four times per hour from the station under Terminal 1 to Berlin Central Station (Hauptbahnhof).

Getting around Berlin:
Berlin’s public transportation network is extensive and convenient, covering all corners of the city.

U-Bahn trains and buses: Tickets are available at multilingual machines in all S- and U-Bahn stations. Bus fares are paid directly to the driver.

S-Bahn trains: Lines S9 and S45 run from Terminals 1, 2, and 5 into the city center.

Additional options: Taxis, rideshare services, and bicycles are widely available, offering flexible ways to explore Berlin before and after the marathon.

Please make your own arrangements to fly to Berlin Brandenburg Airport and transport from Berlin airport to your hotel. Join our welcome reception in the evening to meet the team and your fellow runners at your hotel.

After an early breakfast, join our 5 KM (3.1 miles) shakeout run this morning to get your legs moving before race day. This will be followed by a detailed pre-race briefing.

Join us in the afternoon for our guided sightseeing tour of Berlin, finishing at the marathon expo to collect your race bib and official marathon merchandise. It is located at the former Airport Templehof (Platz der Luftbrucke 5, 12101, Berlin). If you have already attended, you will have the chance to explore the city of Berlin on your own today.

Today is race day! Your rep will escort you to the start line. Wheelchair competitions and Hand cycles set off first. The start and finish are located at Straße des 17. Juni between Brandenburg Gate and the Victory Column. Please note that there is a time limit.

Celebrate your achievement in style with your fellow runners at our post-race after party (location TBC).
